World Link Food Distributors ships over 8 million pounds of live lobster to 24 countries in North America, Europe and Asia from 3 processing facilities in South Nova Scotia and 1 processing unit in Prince Edward Island. We distribute frozen and fresh seafood products from Atlantic Canada to our valued customers using the most efficient logistic routes possible. Lobster Hub's new packing station has two tanks, first tank to purge the lobster when we get them from the fishermen, this tank can hold and purge 110,000 lbs at the time. The lobsters stay in the purge tank for 72 hours before being moved to the refrigerated tank. The second tank is refrigerated at 38°F and can hold 90,000 lbs, the lobsters must stay 48 hours in cold water before shipping. On our old facility, all the piping and refrigeration has been changed and upgraded. This first facility can hold 275,000 lbs long term and there is an extra refrigerated tank for packing which can hold 75,000 lbs. As you can see, Lobster Hub can now pack 80,000 lbs per day and grade the 60,000 lbs per day, which will offer our distribution around 5 million live lobster per year.
